Ross,

Thank you for visiting this site. And, for the information. Jerry Hicks, in the newest Abraham-Hicks book, alluded to there being an original manuscript, which was different than the common version. I look forward to checking out the edition that you're referring to.

Thank you.

I enjoyed reading your blog today, and I thought that you might be interested to learn that a new edition of Napoleon Hill's classic book "Think and Grow Rich" has been published.

Its title is "Think and Grow Rich!" (subtitled) "The Original Version, Restored and Revised." I am the editor/annotator of this new 416-page edition, which is really an homage to Dr. Hill. (For several years I was the editor-in-chief of "Think & Grow Rich Newsletter.")

What I have done is this: to restore Dr. Hill's book to its original manuscript content (it was first published in 1937, but was abridged in 1960), annotate it with more than 50 pages of endnotes (most of the persons and events he discusses are generally unknown to readers today), index it thoroughly, add an appendix with a wealth of additional information about Dr. Hill and his work, and revise the book in ways to help remove certain "impediments" to reading the book today (language that today would be considered obsolete, sexist or racist). None of these things had previously been done with TGR.

If you would like to learn a little more about this project, a quick visit to www.tgr-restored-revised.com will give you some details. The "Editor's Foreword" provides more complete information, and the “Testimonials” page will demonstrate how well-received this new book is around the world.

Here is the book’s Amazon.com page...

http://www.amazon.com/Think-Grow-Rich-Original-Restored/dp/1593302002/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-4747976-2224727?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1191524360&sr=1-1

The book is available on all the Amazon websites and most other online sellers (it is now the No. 1 best-selling version of TGR on Amazon), it can be ordered by any bookstore, and it will soon be appearing in bookstores everywhere.

Our edition of TGR! is superior in every way to other versions on the market. It is a trade paperback, not a pocket-size mass market paperback. It is unabridged. It is 416 pages versus 230+ (depending on the edition). It looks better, feels better, reads better than any other version. It is fast becoming the "version of choice" among Napoleon Hill devotees and other students of success and high achievement.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Thank you very much for linking up this post, Missy. I'm going to try to devote some quality time listing to the Muzik Mafia channel tomorrow. (I haven't given it a good listen to yet, although I did listen to some Billy Joe Shaver today.)

My only concern is that Big & Rich might take themselves too seriously someday. This thought occurred to me after hearing their Viet Nam song,...and after hearing "Lost in this Moment." (I mean, I know the songs are heartfelt & special & all,...and I did like the video of the old veteran.) I just hope they can keep the party going. Because, besides their anarchistic approach towards country music rules & regulations, they're a lot of fun.

They're this generation's Hank Williams Jr. I just hope they keep taking the fun & games to new levels.

Thanks so much for visiting here & leaving comments, Missy.

The music & family life stuff ... we have in common. I just don't know anything about crafts, knitting/sewing, etc... to offer any useful comments. But, anyway,...although I did rug hook as a kid.

Anyway. Stay positive.
& Keep listening to the MM.
I do believe that we both understand how special of a thing that Big & Rich and the gang have started. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I'll talk to you later.

Peace,

Sir Real

P.S. I have a friend in Phoenix who has a country-ish type band, & besides playing original songs, I think I hooked him on the Muzik Mafia. (He's still not sure about Cowboy Troy.) Anyway. He convinced his bandmates to incorporate "Here for the Party" & "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" ... into their live song list.
& I've heard their version of Gretchen Wilson, & it was quite the crowd pleaser according to the bootleg video I saw of them.

His band is at http://www.myspace.com/thenewwesterns
...& I feel I've done my small part in introducing others to the genius that is Big & Rich.

Have you heard their Intergalactic fan pack? It's great. It has a long version of "Drinking About You" & has a "Save A Horse" remix which I like better than their original version of the song. And, it comes with a DVD. If you haven't seen it, you might want to track it down,... I think you'll really enjoy it.

(There's also a pretty cool DVD which comes with some copies of Gretchen Wilson's album, "All Jacked Up," .. which is really cool too.)
